Griffin and the Gargoyles is St. Louis’ premier high-energy party and dance band. Recently awarded “best cover band” by the St. Louis Riverfront Times, musicianship and style is the reason Griffin and the Gargoyles has played to packed houses for many years. Their extensive play-list and freshness keeps the crowds coming back for more.
Griffin and the Gargoyles play classics from every generation including today’s hits. They perform everything from classic rock, 80’s retro and hair music, hip hop and dance, pop, alternative, funk, R&B, disco, standards and swing, country, and oldies. Whiskey Morning is a country band with a classic sound, killer harmonies and good, old-fashioned twang. Former members of notable St. Louis bands such as Fluid Drive, Ralph Butler Band, Fantasy, The Smash Band, The Twains, Willis and The Instructors, have united to create a fresh country sound. Think George Jones, Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, The Eagles, Buddy Miller and more, and you’d have Whiskey Morning!
The Dave and Greg show originated in 2001, and quickly became the hardest working acoustic duo in St. Louis, spanning music from the ’50′s straight up into the new millennium. In 2005, the duo added electric guitar and drums and expanded into a full band. Featuring soaring harmonies, the group is able to pull off music that is vocally challenging, including The Eagles, America, Simon and Garfunkle, Fleetwood Mac, Rascal Flats, Little River Band, Kenny Loggins/Loggins & Messina, just to name a few.
The group also stays current with such artists as Jason Maraz, John Mayer, Rob Thomas, Kenny Chesney, and many more!
Cosmic Cow is all about the 80s…skinny ties, plastic shoes, spiky hair and great music from the original MTV generation. In fact, they love the 80s so much that they’ve decided to stay there for over twenty years. Their leader, Billy Midol, got his first CD player last week. Bassist Danny Rude hasn’t been the same since Max Headroom was canceled and Drumbo just got cable. While none of them have figured out the Rubik’s Cube, they have figured out how to bring great music to life with the same kind of passion, precision and American know-how that made the 80s the Decade of Excess.
